Throughout the Lonestar State and just outside its borders, Texas Strong captures and shares the hunting exploits of Hosts Brandon Houston and Keith Rand along with their hunting compadres as they roll through the cactus, mesquite and senderos seeking out the best adventures and wildlife Texas and Mexico have to offer. Through their varying business backgrounds in ranching, rodeo, agriculture and the outdoors, the hosts and crew find a common bond in the outdoors throughout each season connecting viewers with the same sentiments often felt in their very own deer and hunting camps!
Brandon introduces Texas Strong. With the first front of the year coming, he sets his sights on the "big 10," in hopes to put him on the ground. That's if Chris will stop trying to blow the scalps off every pig!
Brandon flies to the great state of Kentucky to meet up with Linda Powell of Mossberg. The bucks are chasing and hopes are high!
Its 95+ degrees and bucks are still in bachelor groups, welcome to the Texas bow opener! Brandon kicks off the year with good friend Mark Koch, owner of Lazy K Outfitters.
Brandon, pulls the old "switch-a-roo" on Chris right as the rut is kicking in. After spending a little time going over shot placement, gun safety and sending a few down range he's got a Mossberg in hand and ready to make her bark!
The first hunt on a new property proves to shock everyone minutes into the first hunt. Not only are the guys caught off guard, things happened so quickly it was hard to keep the camera in the right spot.
Back to west Texas we go baby! The Trojacek boys are at the ranch, the deer are on their feet, and Mossberg just sent a brand new gun that little Cooper is ready to break in!
Keith and Brandon, are Junction bound. Its hot, it's humid and the guys are breathing heavy and sweating like its judgement day.
Its time to clean things up! Rut has ended and bucks are starting to come back to feed, so its time to take one, or 10, for the team!
We're still at it, cleaning up some of those bucks that went incognito earlier in the season.
Brandon spends some time with Wesley Garrett, owner of Flatland Taxidermy. They are back at the ranch chasing management bucks as clean-up continues as season gets closer to an end.
Brandon heads to Coleman, Texas for a quick hunt with his dad and uncle. After Mike lays down a super wise hammer, its back to the ranch, but this time we are doing things a little different.
Season 1 is a wrap, but in true Texas Strong fashion we are ending things a little different.
