This is the first time they've hunted turkeys in Wisconsin and we're up to the challenge to make sure they aren't making the trip home empty handed.
It's become a tradition of ours to see how many gobblers we can knock down on the final weekend of the spring turkey season in Wisconsin. After the 2018 Beat Down (12 birds in 2.5 days), we werent sure we would even come close in 2019. To our surprise, the birds were cooperating, and there was certainly no shortage of them to chase. In just 2.5 days, we were able to knock down 14 longbeards. This is certainly a weekend of hunting that none of us will ever forget.

Last year the boys hit the Bluegrass state during the last week of the season and didn’t realize how much the late season foliage would slow them down in their pursuits to knock down educated late season birds. This year, they wanted to change it up and be there for the beginning of the season. The first morning of trip was almost like it was scripted, a beautiful Kentucky strutter made his way across the field and ran right into Josh’s gun barrel.

After 5 weeks of chasing birds, a list builds itself and the final week of the season is the perfect time to get aggressive and do whatever it takes to clean that list up. After Robert punches his tag on a new farm, Aaron Skrzypczak and Scott Spitzley head to a whole new permission property for an afternoon turkey hunt. Part 2: The Eastsiders grind it out another spring turkey hunting season in Wisconsin. After several unsuccessful attempts the boys find luck with some turkeys in the later part of the spring season.
Part 1: Wisconsin turkey season kicks off and we are back hunting in the flats. The warm spring weather has the turkeys fired up and it doesn't take long before the guys start punching tags on Wisconsin longbeards. Part 2: Ben & Bryce kickoff Wisconsin turkey season by taking out their significant others. They make quick work on a couple Wisconsin gobblers opening day of the first season. The guys continue to grind it out the rest of the turkey season and are able to scratch a few more Wisconsin toms to cap off a great year.
Part 1: Brennen Nading and Mike Mancl kick off their spring turkey hunting season in their home state of Iowa. After an action packed opening day, Brennen puts an exclamation point on Day 1 just before the sun sets. Mike grabs a tag and it’s back to the woods they go. It didn’t take them long to find a midday gobbler on public land that wanted to do the dance. Part 2: Brothers Nick and Nate Monzyk head to Iowa to join up with Brennen Nading, Michael Mancl, and JP for a weekend of turkey hunting. Although Nate was unsuccessful drawing a tag, he was excited to be along with his brother to see if he could knock down his first ever Iowa turkey. On the final morning of the trip, the birds read the script. This was just the start they were looking for before heading back to Missouri for the rest of the spring turkey season.
Part 1: Wisconsin youth turkey season kicks off the spring for the crew. Chad Maves and Dan Schubring take their kids out to hunt some early season turkeys. The cold weather did not stop the birds from being fired up and the youths capitalized on a few nice Wisconsin birds. Part 2: Dan Schubring was really looking forward to getting his wife, son and daughter out in the turkey woods to chase the spring thunder. His wife Sonni and daughter Emmie also get in on the action! Dan's cousin Kyle Zblewski also warmed up the barrel of his shotgun as the spring progressed in Wisconsin.
