If so then we may be the right fit for you. Wild TV is a video production and broadcasting company looking for a Systems Administrator with a passion for automation.


  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud instances

  • Exprience with Continious Deployment and Integration using tools such as Jenkins

  • Must have hardware RAID, software RAID/storage pools such as ZFS and Ceph

  • Experience deploying application and middleware technologies such as PHP, Apache, Mysql, Passenger and Node

  • Have implemented serivces such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NTP

  • Must be comfortable and experienced with the Linux console and tools such as awk, sed and grep

  • Scripting with Bash, PHP and Python experiance is required

  • Hardware assembly and troubleshooting (generally breakdowns)

  • Good Team player and also have ability to be a self starter and work independently.

  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.

  • Experience in low-level systems and network debugging (strace, sar, netstat, tcpdump)

  • Have an understanding of swotch and router configuration as well as VLAN technologies and standards

  • A strong willingness to learn

Nice To Haves:

  • Virtualization experience with KVM, LXC and Docker would be an asset

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Vagrant considered an asset

  • Knowledge of video and image standards and codec libraries, including H.264, H.263, MPEG, MP4, FFMPEG

  • Experience working with video transport streams, video capture, video processing, video encoding, transcoding, frame analysis
